Advanced Search functionality for MPoints
Set up customized Indexes and Searches according to user specifications.
- MPoints (Mass Points) accommodate Metadata which can be configured to user requirements.
- Used in conjunction with the Mass Data Module (MDM), it is absolutely possible to have and smoothly work with billions (and even trillions) of points seamlessly accessible in a single project.
- It is often desirable to search for points by specific user data information e.g. a user defined code which may (for example) be made up from numerous components e.g. unit, plant group, machine type, part type, etc.
- Each portion of the Metadata can be configured in various formats such as actual value, table lookup, strings etc.
- To make searches extremely fast it is necessary to index the data. uSMART allows users to easily configure numerous search options and index accordingly at the touch of a button.
- It is then possible to select a search option from a drop down list and instantaneously find data previously indexed.
- External applications can also make use of the search tools e.g. an external signal may set an alarm condition for a particular component previously coded to users' requirements. uSMART will instantaneously "find" the component and (for example) highlight it and fit the components points in a view (which may be many thousands or even millions of points).
- uSMART provides tools for interfacing external applications so that they can leverage these highly efficient search options. Just 1 example would be where a user identifies an MPoint via search, visual inspection etc. The MPoint could be part of a complex component. Because each MPoint effectively has a unique ID sized 32 bytes (256 bits), each MPoint is totally unique to any other MPoint. A single MPoint or group of MPoints can therefore be easily linked to an external database. Extensive information regarding a component can therefore be retrieved.
- There are many applications which can make use of these powerful search capabilities. Numerous points making up a particular pipe (for example) can be "found" instantaneously which makes the uSMART "point cloud" data unique in that it can have user definable intelligence added.
When combined with the filtering features, there is no other software available which can match the unique power and functionality of uSMART.
Why not put us to the test and see how you too can enhance and extend the life of your "point cloud" data? Make your data intelligent, easily accessible and work for you for many years to come.
